nutrients

it isnt tough if you had paid just a little attention in the biology class

You must not have paid enough "little attention." Phloem is for nutrient transport. Xylem is for water transport. Nutrients is legit response though being that it's "step 2." You just got the definitions mixed up.

even though phloem is primarily used for nutrient transport, there are some nutrients which first gets dissolved in water and are then transported through the xylem tissues.

btw my word:
Glucose

Yes. I know this. Primarily it's water though and unless you have ddH2O there's always other stuff in there.

Galactose.

I suppose rabbit season didnt count because its 2 words, but excluding that how does it go from bunny to glucose?
I'll try to pick a word that commits to both ribose (BTW its underlined, is that a proper word?) and bunny so it works either way again...
adrenaline

Ribose is the sugar in DNA/RNA: deoxyribonucleic acid / ribonucleic acid

going off testosterone...

dihydrotestosterone or if that doesn't count I'll go with hormone

Nope. Just a Biochemistry major. Even something like ribose should be simple knowledge though for someone that's taken basic bio...heck even nowadays I wouldn't doubt if a high school grad would know this no problem (that focused on science/math anyways). I can talk about (and draw) the structures for you if you want me too as well.

bio was among my favourite subjects in high school..it was easy and interesting..and so was the bio lab but only later on..in the beginning we were just supposed to identify different species, draw their sturcture and write about their features, which was very boring.

my word:
thyroxine
